NACES Plus Projects
Collecting Data to Improve Quality
In addition to managing the administration of nurse aide candidate competency examination (NNAAP), NACES Plus Foundation performs long-term care-related data collection and community based services data collection for state agencies on a contract basis.
NACES is currently conducting three projects for the Texas State Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to aid in the development of quality improvement strategies for the elderly and intellectually or physically disabled. These projects involve conducting face-to-face interviews with people receiving services and/or data collection and completing a survey instrument.
- Nursing Facility Quality Review Project (NFQR) - a semiannual state wide survey of a random sample of individuals across the state living in nursing facilities that are assessed by a case review and interview. NFQR
- Long Term Services and Supports Quality Review (LTSS QR) - a semiannual state wide survey of people receiving services and support offered through DADS home and community-based and institutional programs. LTSS QR
- Money Follows the Person - Quality of Life (MFP QOL) – is an ongoing nationwide effort to remove barriers to community living for people of all ages with disabilities and long-term illnesses. These are Medicaid beneficiaries who want to live in the community and could do so if they had adequate support. MFP QOL
